Samsung Seeks to Improve Road Safety With ‘See-Through’ Truck

Samsung’s Safety Truck uses a wireless camera to broadcast a live feed of the road on a video wall at the rear of the truck.

For many people, driving on the road with big rigs can be nerve-wracking and dangerous, especially for drivers who are trying to pass the vehicles on the road.

So Samsung has developed a “Safety Truck” to make things a little bit easier for drivers.

The Safety Truck features a camera on the front of a large, slow moving truck that broadcasts a live feed of the road on a video wall of four displays at the rear of the truck. The vehicle also has night-vision mode for night-time driving, Bored Panda reports.

Samsung has already tested the truck’s prototype; however, no models are currently on the road.

The company is working with local governments to obtain regulatory approval for the deployment of the truck.
