Securitas Electronic Security Appoints Legal, HR Industry Veterans to Senior Leadership

UNIONTOWN, OHIO – Securitas Electronic Security, formerly Diebold Security, has appointed two new additions to its senior leadership team.

Staris is an attorney and business counselor with more than 20 years of experience in the electronic security and fire services industry. She is an experienced corporate legal specialist, strategic business partner and has been a key advisor to several national and international companies on all aspects of general corporate, litigation, commercial and compliance matters, according to the company.

In addition to her business law experience, Staris has advised, structured and negotiated several U.S. and international business mergers and acquisitions. She is a graduate of UMASS Amherst and Boston College Law School.

Straka has 20 years of HR leadership experience in the electronic security industry. Throughout his career, Straka has led HR teams and initiatives in all facets including talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation and benefits, collective bargaining/labor relations, organizational design and development and a variety of other areas, according to the company. He has previously worked for SecurityLink, ADT/Tyco, HSM Electronic Protection Services and Stanley CSS.

Straka holds a Bachelor’s degree in industrial/organizational psychology and a Master’s degree in labor and industrial relations from the University of Illinois.
