Security Investor Conference Begins Next Week in N.Y.
NEW YORK — Imperial Capital will host the 2013 Security Investor Conference next week (Dec. 11-12) at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City.
During the two-day event, attendees will see presentations from 70 top security companies, and learn how to build their business operations. Attendees will have the opportunity to network with leading providers and learn how they are responding to the current political and financial environment. Additionally, show-goers will also interact with public and private institutional investors and hear what sophisticated capital providers are focused on today.
John McConnell, vice chairman and head of cybersecurity for Booz Allen Hamilton, will present the keynote address, titled “The Cybersecurity Epidemic Signals Investment Opportunity for NextGen Solutions.”
McConnell, a former vice admiral for the U.S. Navy, currently leads Booz Allen’s rapidly expanding cybersecurity business. Before joining the firm, he served as director of national intelligence for Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama. McConnell has twice received the nation’s highest award for service in the intelligence community, served as chairman and CEO of the Intelligence and National Security Alliance (INSA) and was the 2011 recipient of INSA’s William Oliver Baker Award for sustained and excellent service in intelligence and national security.
