SecurTek Monitoring Center Earns 5 Diamond Certification

YORKTON, Saskatchewan, Canada

The SecurTek monitoring facility based here has become the fifth Canadian company to achieve Central Station Alarm Association (CSAA) Five Diamond certification.

“SecurTek has grown rapidly from a new player to an industry leader in just 11 years,” says SaskTel President and CEO Robert Watson. “On behalf of SaskTel, congratulations to everyone at SecurTek for achieving this prestigious designation.”

In order to achieve the certification, SecurTek operators had to demonstrate their proficiency in alarm verification and false alarm reduction. They also had to show adequate communications with public service answering points, such as the 911 dispatch centers; knowledge of electronic communications equipment, including radio; an understanding of the codes and standards of Underwriters Laboratories (UL) of Canada and others; and proficiency in the area of emergency preparedness under a wide range of scenarios.

“SecurTek employees have worked hard to achieve Five Diamond certification,” says SecurTek President and COO Barry Rogers. “I want to thank the CSAA for recognizing our efforts and demonstrating to our customers that they can continue to expect industry-leading service from SecurTek.”
