SentryCon 2013 Educates Dealers on How to Increase Business

MOBILE, Ala. — As many as 100 attendees took part in SentryCon 2013, hosted by third-party monitoring provider SentryNet, where security professionals shared best practice tips to help participants build their businesses.

Held April 17-18 at the Mobile Marriott here, the conference hosted courses that focused on developing a sound business plan, promoting and maintaining high sales standards of security services, and understanding how to limit liabilities through legal contracts.

Industry veteran Lou Sepulveda served as the keynote speaker of the event. During his address, Sepulveda detailed how security providers can recruit, manage and motivate a productive sales force. Attorney Jennifer Kirschenbaum also spoke to attendees and answered legal questions that independent alarm dealers face today.

The event afforded the opportunity for attendees to network with other security professionals, as well as meet one-on-one with representatives from vendor companies.
