SIA to Recognize Industry Leaders at ISC East

SILVER SPRING, Md. — The Security Industry Association (SIA) will honor four of its members for their contributions to the security trade during an annual membership meeting at ISC East.

The association will bestow the 2013 Chairman’s Award to Rob Zivney, senior consultant at Identification Technology Partners, for years of dedication to identity management for SIA. Laurie Aaron, executive vice president and chief marketing officer at Building Intelligence, will also receive the Chairman’s Award for helping to forge bonds with ASIS Int’l, supporting SIA’s education interest group and recruiting SIA members.

SIA will also honor ASSA ABLOY Door Security Solutions Director of Education John Hunepohl with the 2013 Committee Chair of the Year Award for his work with the SIA Education Committee. Hunepohl has also supported the Certified Security Project Manager program, as well as SIA’s efforts to launch a learning module system and other initiatives.

For his support of SIA Standards and the advancement of the OSPDA Access Control specification, Brivo Systems CEO Steve Van Till will receive the 2013 Volunteer of the Year Award.

SIA Board of Directors Chairman Jay Hauhn will present recipients with their accolades on Nov. 20, during ISC East at the Javits Center in New York City.
