State Systems Acquires Conway (Ark.) Operations of Dunk Fire and Security

State Systems will absorb the 16 Conway employees and assets and will begin servicing customers in Conway and surrounding areas.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – State Systems, based here, has acquired the Conway, Ark., operations of Dunk Fire and Security.

The transaction marks State Systems’ second acquisition in 2016 and fourth in the past 18 months, Arkansas Business reports. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Established in 2005 by Ken and Rose Dunk, Dunk Fire and Security offers fire sprinkler and alarm systems in the greater Little Rock and Northwest Arkansas markets. The company is based in Springdale, Ark.

“I’m getting old. We have a very good team down there and State Systems has been wanting to make acquisitions and we wanted to team up,” Ken Dunk told Arkansas Business. “I think it’s really good for all the personnel that were down there.”

Effective immediately, State Systems will absorb the 16 Conway employees and assets and will begin servicing customers in Conway and surrounding areas. Ken Dunk continues to own and operate Dunk Fire and Security’s Springdale-based business.

“This acquisition allows us to grow our presence in the greater Little Rock area and bring new services to our customers there,” State Systems CEO Bob McBride said in a statement. “We look forward to continued success in this region as we meet the fire protection and prevention needs of local businesses.”

State Systems opened its office in Little Rock last October, expanding the company’s reach by a 200-mile radius. The company opened a Little Rock office in October 2015.
