The top security stories from June are lead by a new report from WalletHub that reveals the safest and most dangerous states in America.
According to the report, the safest states in the country are located in the Northeast, while the most dangerous are generally in the southern portion of the country.
Also making waves last month was ADS Security. The Nashville-based company successfully defeated a patent troll in court after being sued for infringement of its U.S. Patent No. 8,788,090.
The broadly worded patent is for “a system and method for creating a personalized consumer product.” In other words, pretty much anything that can create or control something.
Door knockers also continue to be a problem, even all the way out in Hawaii, where a door-to-door salesperson claiming to be with ADT lied to an elderly man in order to get him to sign up for services.
