Vivint, Kwikset Combine Home Automation With Remote Access
PROVO, Utah — Vivint‘s home automation customers will now be offered remote access capabilities following the company’s partnership with electronic lock provider Kwikset.
Vivint’s home automation packages will feature Kwikset’s SmartCode Signature Series locks, which are integrated with the company’s Home Connect technology. Customers will now have the ability to monitor their front doors from any Web-enabled device or secure Internet connection from anywhere in the world.
Additionally, the Home Connect-enabled locks can wirelessly communicate with other smart devices in the home such as lighting and temperature, according to a press release.
“The Vivint home automation platform magnifies and extends the benefits of Kwikset’s electronic locks with Home Connect,” Kwikset Director of Residential Access Solutions Keith Brandon says. “Customers can integrate their locks with other features to stay fully connected to their homes and families.”
