Vivint Teams with Electricity Supplier to Offer Energy Options

BALTIMOREVivint has teamed up with electricity supplier Constellation Energy to offer customers more control and options for electricity use and cost savings.

“Consumers want more choices and control when it comes to their home energy use,” Constellation Chief Marketing Officer Bruce Stewart says. “We want them to have the information to make smarter choices, reduce their energy use, and lower their power bill. Working with Vivint will mean real benefits for families and for the environment.”

When signing up for Vivint’s energy management package, customers in Illinois, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C., may choose Constellation as their electricity supplier. Vivint states that the offering allows customers to save an average of $24 per month in energy use.

As an incentive to prompt clients to switch to Constellation, Vivint will waive the one-time energy management upgrade fee. The electricity supplier, which offers 12- and 24-month plans, will also provide price protection against rate volatility, according to a press release.

“By joining Constellation, we can provide our customers with even more value,” Vivint Energy President Tanguy Serra says. “We can also build a strong foundation for future relationships and offerings.”
