VStar Launched as Systems Integrator for Drones

U.S. Navy veteran Andy Von Stauffenberg started the company to bridge the gap between technology and the consumer.

Last week, U.S. Navy veteran Andy Von Stauffenberg launched VStar Systems Inc., a systems integration company specializing in unmanned and robotic systems, like drones. VStar is said to create custom solutions for clients who have a unique set of problems that require advanced technologies and out-of-the-box thinking.

“I started VStar because I noticed a discrepancy in the industry,” Von Stauffenberg said. “There are hundreds of technology providers in the [unmanned aerial vehicle] space, and it is usually up to the customer to determine how to best utilize the technology in order to solve their unique problem. VStar was born as a solutions provider; we bridge this gap between the technology and the consumer so that consumers can focus on their primary business rather than devising a way of integrating the technology into their business model.”

Von Stauffenberg, the CEO of VStar, started his career in the U.S. Navy as an aviation electrician, where he spent eight years. Then he joined Northrop Grumman and rose up to lead the technical team as the RQ-48 Global Hawk program deputy chief engineer and Block 30 chief engineer. There, he oversaw all technical aspects of the product life cycle, including the development, production and sustainment efforts for the United States Air Force.

VStar’s clients include both government and commercial entities looking at utilizing a drone-based solution.
