World Wide Security Expands Footprint in N.Y. With 3 Acquisitions
GARDEN CITY, N.Y. — World Wide Security Group, an intrusion and fire alarm systems provider based here, announces it has added three physical security firms to its group of companies. Terms of the deals were not released.
In a press release, the company said it purchased Access One Security of Commack, N.Y.; Dart Security of Woodbury, N.Y.; and LSG Security Systems, located in the Bronx.
“These acquisitions will help us achieve the ability to increase delivery of quality security solutions and technology to a growing marketplace in the region,” World Wide Security President and CEO Ken Mara says. “There is a lot of industry talent involved with these acquisitions, which will benefit our expanding customer base.”
It helped that Access One Security and World Wide had a strong business relationship prior to the acquisition. For nearly a decade , World Wide has provided monitoring through its UL-Listed central station for Access One.
“When it came time for me to sell, I naturally wanted the smoothest transition,” Access One Security President John Maglione says. “So, I approached World Wide.”
Founded in 1974, Dart Security provided services to clients in the Nassau and Suffolk counties. Its president and founder Ben Cirlincione, a former president of the Long Island Alarm Association (LIAA) and vice president of the New York Burglar and Fire Alarm Association (NYBFAA), will remain with the World Wide Security as general manager.
With the acquisition of LSG Security Systems, World Wide will now expand its footprint in New York City and Westchester County. As part of the deal, LSG Security clients will also receive monitoring services through World Wide, Mara says. Additionally, plans are in motion to expand LSG Security’s office and add more staff.
In December, World Wide announced that it had expanded its credit line from $5 million to $8 million to acquire up to six companies, reports Newsday.
In addition to the recently acquired firms, World Wide Security Group includes World Wide Security, GC Alarm, Telestat Security, Vision Monitoring and Rainbow Protection. The companies provide residential and commercial alarms, CCTV, access control and home automation systems. The firm’s UL-Listed central station monitors 15,000 accounts.
