PSIA Seeks Industry Input on Video Analytics Specification

SANTA CLARA,  Calif. – The Physical Security Interoperability Alliance (PSIA), a global consortium of physical security providers focused on promoting the interoperability of IP-enabled devices,  releases its 0.9 video analytics draft specification for public comment.

The specification defines a standard way to receive, store and use analytic output. The open interface addresses event output including security, counting and health alerts, and object streaming metadata output. It also address foundational analytic output associated with tracked objects as well as classification, bounding box data, velocities and color.

The video analytics draft specification will be available until Aug.  13. Registration is required to review and comment on the document,  which can be accessed at psiaforums.org.  After this public period is complete, comments will be assessed and a final 1.0 version of the specification will be published.
