ASG Acquires Another La.-Based Security Firm

BELTSVILLE, Md. — ASG Security has acquired Metairie, La.-based Hartman Electronics for an undisclosed amount.

Established in 2001 by Mike Hartman, Hartman Electronics installs intrusion alarms and fire alarm systems in the greater New Orleans area. The company has annual revenue of $500,000 to $1 million, according to a company description on Manta.com.

As part of the deal, which was facilitated by Steve Rubin of Davis Mergers and Acquisitions Group, ASG will expand its footprint in Louisiana, a market the firm recently entered in November 2012. All four Hartman Electronics employees will join the ASG staff, including former owner Hartman, who is NICET Level-4 certified, ASG Security CFO Ralph Masino tells SSI.

“This is a quality account base for our Louisiana operations,” Masino says. “Mike’s expertise will be a great addition to our Louisiana team.”
