Phihong PoE Midspan Management Software

Phihong of Fremont, Calif., releases an updated version of
its Power over Ethernet (PoE) management software. Featuring
a redesigned graphical user interface (GUI), the software
provides users with enhanced local and remote access capabilities,
including the ability to monitor and reset all connected
PoE devices. The product also allows users to review detailed
parametric information for each port.
The GUI software is also compatible with all current versions
of Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP), including
SNMPv3, which utilizes more stringent security encryptions,
according to the company.

ECKey Bluetooth Access Control Solution

introduces a Bluetooth solution
for the access control
industry that allows end
users to use a cell phone to
lock and unlock residential
doors and gates.
The ECKey technology
integrates with an existing
door. The cell phone can be
paired with the ECKey, similar to a Bluetooth set. The
product will detect users in range and trigger the relay
to unlock a door, open a gate or send a message to an
access control system.

Visonic Anti-Masking Detectors

Visonic Ltd. of Bloomfield, Conn., releases an anti-masking
line of motion detectors that alerts the user if the detector has
been tampered with. The line includes Visonic’s DUET AM
C/O and DUO 220AM and the TOWER 10AM, 12AM
and 20AM.
The DUET AM C/O is a professional-
grade, commercial
dual-technology detector. In the
anti-masking mode, two normally
closed relay outputs are
available for alarm and trouble
conditions. Additionally, DUET
AM C/O can be operated
with both Form A and Form
B relay outputs when the
anti-masking function is
disabled.
The DUO 220AM is a microcomputer-
controlled dual-technology intrusion
detector. The PIR and MW technologies are combined
to help reduce false alarms.

Bosch NBC-225-P IP Camera

Fairport, N.Y.-based Bosch Security Systems announces the
latest addition to its IP camera 200 Series, the NBC-225-P. The
IP camera has an integrated 4.9mm fixed lens and is ready-touse
straight from the box, according to the company.
The camera features a 2.8mm–10mm varifocal lens and can
operate without a DVR or PC. Video is stored on the camera’s
Secure Digital (SD) flash memory card.
The camera’s H.264 image compression reduces the
requirements for storage by up to 30 percent compared to
traditional surveillance technology, according to the company.
