Aug 20, 2009, BELTSVILLE, MD. -- ASG Security of Beltsville, Md., has expanded its reach into the Northeast with the acquisition of Ultraguard Protective Systems of Woburn, Mass.
ASG Security Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing Bob Ryan tells SSI the transaction figures nicely into his company’s growth strategies, adding 8,200 accounts and extending operations into a new region of the country for ASG. Ultraguard, which was founded in 1999, is comprised of 80 percent commercial clients and 20 percent residential.
Ryan says the transaction will bring ASG Security $240,000 of recurring revenue, and that the company will welcome 50 full-time Ultraguard Protective employees into its ranks. Like ASG, Ultraguard is a First Alert Professional dealer and offers a full array of security systems and services, including intrusion and fire alarm systems, video surveillance and access control.
Founded in 2002, ASG Security is a full-service security systems and services provider, with more than 125,000 customers spanning the Mid-Atlantic region and throughout Texas.
