Kratos Defense & Security Solutions Reports $177.5 Q4 Revenue

The national security solutions provider’s numbers are a 9.8% jump from the third quarter.

SAN DIEGO — Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, a national security solutions provider, reports fourth-quarter revenue of $177.5 million and $13.4 million in adjusted EBITDA from continuing operations for the quarter ending on Dec. 27, 2015.

The fourth-quarter numbers represent a 9.8% growth from the third quarter ($161.7 million). Approximately 63% of Kratos’ revenue came from United States Federal Government related customers, 26% from commercial, state and local government customers, and 11% from international customers.

“As we begin 2016, we believe that major areas of our company are well positioned for growth, including unmanned systems, satellite communications, missile defense and microwave electronics, driven by specific program opportunities Kratos is involved in and under contract on, and an improving overall U.S. DoD budgetary environment,” said Kratos President and CEO Eric DeMarco.

Kratos’ book to bill ratio in the fourth quarter of 2015 was 0.7 to 1.0, with a year to date book to bill ratio of 0.8 to 1.0. Kratos’ total backlog at the end of the fourth quarter of 2015 was $913.8 million, including funded and unfunded backlog of $528.7 million and $385.1 million, respectively. Kratos’ bid and proposal pipeline at December 27, 2015 was $7.1 billion.
