As a security/life-safety systems provider you mitigate the risk of threats to your customers, but what steps are you taking to minimize liability risk to your own company? An expert tells you how to protect the protector.

Alarm system contracting includes the security survey, needs analysis, recommendations, design, installation, programming, testing, inspection, maintenance, takeovers and UL-Listed central station alarm monitoring of all types of security systems. In addition, alarm contractors have duties regarding their actions and inactions when providing these services, and to that end alarm contractors can be held liable in civil claims filed against them.

These duties depend on many different factors, including, but not limited to, the actual fact pattern of the case and the damages which were alleged to have been sustained by the plaintiff. Conversely, alarm system contractors can be determined not to be a significant proximate cause of the damages sustained based on myriad different factors, including the fact pattern as elaborated to above and/or other issues that can include (but not be limited to) the alarm contractor’s policies, procedures and contracts.

Coming full circle, this FREE webinar is designed to help alarm contractors, central stations and other interested parties learn ways to proactively help limit their liability, and at the same time help better protect their customers and their assets in the event of a burglarious event, an ambush, panic and/or holdup condition, and/or a life-safety emergency such as a fire, smoke, carbon monoxide and/or natural gas detection system alarm.

Highlights of this session include:

  • Presentation of actual forensic case studies
  • Conducting a security survey
  • Methodologies to help lower your loss potential
  • Learning about alarm science
