New Adams Rite Wireless Deadlatch is Designed for Retrofits

Adams Rite touts the new DL100 wireless deadlatch, which incorporates Aperio wireless technologies, as the industry’s most affordable retrofit solution.

PHOENIX, Ariz. — Adams Rite, an ASSA ABLOY brand, has expanded its product line with the introduction of its DL100 wireless deadlatch.

The manufacturer says that its latest product is an advanced, aluminum-stile electrified deadlatch that incorporates Aperio wireless technologies.

Adams Rite states the new DL100 wireless deadlatch complements retrofit installations, as well as building renovations or any commercial project that includes an existing MS door prep. The product combines electrified locking hardware with access control capabilities in standard aluminum-stile doors.

“The DL100 Wireless Deadlatch is the industry’s most affordable retrofit solution, making it easy for integrators to upgrade mechanical openings to wireless access control,” says Patrick Hill, product manager, ASSA ABLOY Opening Solutions Americas. “Minimal field configuration provides quick, hassle-free deployments that eliminate the cost, inconvenience and sometimes unavailability of hardwiring a door.”

DL100 Integrates Into a Range of Access Control Systems

Adams Rite explains that its new deadlatch employs low-energy motorized EcoLatch actuator technologies for silent operation, and the product provides a MultiCLASS SE contactless card reader that supports 125 KHz and 13.56 MHz credentials, with optional support for BLE or NFC Mobile Access.

The company says that it designed the DL100 to quickly interface with other access control components to extend real-time security cost effectively, and the product is available in a fail-secure configuration.

Other design elements the new wireless deadlatch offers includes the ability to operate from the inside handle or paddle with entry via mortise cylinder or integrated card reader. The UL 294 listed (Salt Spray Test Compliant) product comes complete with Form C latch status and tamper monitoring and the product is powered by two AA lithium batteries.

In addition, Adams Rite states the IP65-rated DL100 wireless deadlatch provides a real-time Door Position Switch (DPS) monitor, Request to Exit (REX) and battery health monitoring and control. Moreover, the new deadlatch solution offers fully encrypted AES 128-bit wireless connections to an Aperio hub to help ensure cyber-secure data communications.
