Aiphone Release New Multitenant Station With Mobile App Capability

Aiphone’s GT-1C7W is an app-enabled dual audio and video tenant station equipped with a seven-inch touchscreen display.

REDMOND, Wash. — Aiphone, a manufacturer of intercom and security communication products, announces the latest installment to its GT Series analog multitenant video intercom.

The new GT-1C7W is an app-enabled dual audio and video tenant station, offering on-the-go tenants a convenient method to screen visitors whether at home or away with the system’s mobile app, according to the company.

Aiphone explains that the addition of the GT-1C7W app-compatible video tenant station is part of a security industry trend towards solutions that enable access through a mobile device. With this enhancement, tenants are now able to manage visitors and deliveries from any location, without the need to be physically present.

The GT-1C7W tenant station is equipped with a seven-inch touchscreen display and mobile app capability — connecting with up to eight mobile devices per tenant station. The station features hands-free audio communication, door release, concierge and security guard calling, brightness control, and volume control.

The GT-1C7W is the latest edition to the Aiphone GT Series which includes a robust offering of entry systems for multitenant facilities. The GT Series, designed with multitenant buildings in mind, can integrate with more than five hundred tenant stations, sixteen entrance stations, and four video guard stations.

It is well-suited solution for office buildings, apartments, assisted living facilities and student dormitories.

“Not only do mobile app integrations offer the ability to answer a door from virtually anywhere, but they introduce an added layer of security for tenants,” says Brad Kamcheff, marketing manager at Aiphone. “Audio and video transmission to the mobile device allows the tenant to be able to see the video and hear the voice of the visitor so that they can confirm the person at the door is who they say they are.”

An entrance station can be positioned at an entry doorway, prompting the visitor to choose the tenant’s name from a dropdown list. From there, the audio and/or video feed connects with the tenant’s mobile app on up to eight devices of their choosing. The tenant can then admit the visitor using their mobile app. The CT-1c7W intercom can communicate via hands-free or push-to-talk functionality.
