Universal Atlantic Systems Inc. announces that Ron Schwartz, founder and chairman, has been elected to the board of directors of the Central Station Alarm Association (CSAA). He brings more than 30 years of experience in the security industry. Schwartz also remains actively involved with the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP), and sits on the False Alarm subcommittee and CCTV subcommittee of the Private Sector Liaison Committee.

Rick Jolet has accepted the position of general manager with Alarm Monitoring Services Inc. (AMS) in Metairie, La. Jolet will be responsible for managing the administration and central station portions of the company.

William F. DiMaria has been appointed as president of Florida Integrated Systems Inc. of Miami. Prior to working with IBI Security Services and Best Security Corp., DiMaria served as a police officer in New York for nearly a decade.

Blick U.S.A. Inc., a global provider of security, communication and time management solutions based in Monterey, Calif., welcomes Steve Rogers as senior vice president. Rogers has more than 20 years of sales and marketing experience in the security industry. The company also introduces Drew Chernoy as vice president, marketing/operations. Chernoy has more than 20 years of industry experience in both strategic marketing and planning.

International Fiber Systems Inc. (IFS) of Newtown, Conn., has selected Andrew Acquarulo Jr. as president and COO. Recently, Acquarulo served as IFS executive vice president. IFS has also appointed Robert Thropp as A&E market manager for North America. Thropp brings to the company 15 years of experience in the industrial and broadcast video, CCTV, access control and fiber-optic video and data transmission markets.

John Pichola Sr. has been chosen as vice president of finance and administration for Security Services & Technologies (SST) in Norristown, Pa. The company also announces the appointment of Bob Hendrick as senior vice president of operations and human resources.

Security Equipment Supply Inc. (SES) introduces Jerry Sandusky as branch manager of its Memphis, Tenn., location. Sandusky has 19 years of industry experience.
SES also welcomes Todd Bowen as branch manager of its north Chicago location. He has 18 years of industry experience.

Kelly Koelsch has been named as system design engineer for Greater Alarm in Loomis, Calif. In her new position, Koelsch will provide initial CAD design of fire, intrusion, access control and CCTV systems sold by the alarm company, as well as final system designs after the sale is complete.
