HID Global Wins Outstanding Smart Card Achievement Award
IRVINE, Calif.
HID Global has won the 2009 Technology Award at the Smart Card Alliance Outstanding Smart Card Achievement ceremony for its collaboration with Dell on the Latitude E-Family laptops with embedded contactless smart card readers.
By integrating the multitechnology contactless smart card reader into select Latitude E-Family laptops, the combined solution helps end-users benefit from the enhanced security of multifactor authentication and the convenience of using one card for logical and physical access control.
When used in conjunction with other components of the HID on the Desktop solution, the Dell Latitude E-Family laptop can help organizations improve risk management across the entire enterprise.
