New Jersey State Police Work on False Alarm Reduction

BRIDGETON, N.J.—According to the 2000 false alarm statistics in Bridgeton, N.J., only 15 out of 2,341 alarm calls were actually activated by burglary attempts.

State police plan on issuing alarm notification warnings each time they’re called to respond to a false alarm. They will also begin educating area township governments on the scope of the problem in hopes that the townships decide to enact false alarm reduction ordinances.  Source: The False Alarm Network
