Nashville, Tenn.-based alarm company ADS Security has hired F. Steven Kappel as its senior vice president of sales and marketing.
With 30 years of experience, Kappel started his career at Indiana’s American Alarm before spending 14 years at Honeywell and most recently as sales and marketing head at global filtration business Johnson Screens Inc.
Michael Garcia has joined integrator MDI Security Systems as its vice president of worldwide marketing and product marketing.
Garcia was in leadership positions with information security provider SecureInfo Corp. for the past five years and was the founder of the FBI’s InfraGard Alamo Chapter.
With more than 20 years of corporate communications experience, Jeff Rader has joined system design software-maker D-Tools as its director of marketing and communications.
Rader comes from a long career with West Coast retail chain Longs Drugs Stores.
John Galliard has been named by Scan Source Inc. to head its new ScanSource Security Distribution as president.
In addition, Tony Sorrentino will serve as vice president of merchandising for the security division.
