Snap One Bolsters Clare Platform; Improves UI

Snap One’s improvements also support a better installation experience for dealers.

RALEIGH, N.C.—The ADI brand Snap One has launched its latest software update for Clare, introducing several features to help boost safety and improve the overall user experience. The updates include FusionPro enhancements, ClareOne Panel and ClareHome App upgrades, new drivers and integrations, plus greater visibility into systems, flexibility, and additional third-party integrations.

Some of the dealer-friendly highlights to the FusionPro backend include the addition of Account Level Trouble Conditions, allowing installers to catch and address potential issues such as low sensor signal, central station monitoring not being configured, LTE disconnected, panel offline, and more all before signing off on a job.

“We’ve added a number of enhancements to FusionPro and the ClareOne Panel to simultaneously improve interactions between integrator partners and end users, making the system even more attractive to both ADI and Snap One partners and end users,” says Clint Choate, Snap One Sr. Director of Security Market.

“We know that security and safety are top of mind for our integrator partners and their customers, so, as a combined business, we’re committed to continuing to invest in this increasingly important product category.”

Additionally, with the new Clare FusionPro System Audit Log, administrators can see when, what, and who has changed settings on an account, which is critical to identifying and understanding why changes were made.

The Clare system also had a software update earlier this year to enhance capabilities.

Clare adds User-Friendly Updates ClareHome App

The ClareHome App has a rebuilt backend database infrastructure, improving performance and reliability, and adding redundancies to help mitigate system issues, according to the company.

Enhancements to the ClareOne Panel include a Security API to support third-party integrations, enabling other smart home and automation systems to employ Clare as its security component.

Snap One says this is similar to available integrations with Control4, where integrators can implement Control4 for smart home and automation and Clare for security and monitoring. The Clare system including ClareOne solution was recently selected by homebuilder Fischer Homes.

Enhancements Ease Installation Process

Installers can now set the ClareOne Panel to Z-Wave pairing mode from the ClareOne Panel Installer Settings menu, eliminating the need to have the panel connected to a local network. This aids new deployments where Wi-Fi connectivity is not immediately available, according to the company.

The company asserts this also makes Z-Wave pairing available for end users through the panel, instead of requesting additions via FusionPro.

End users can now access updates to the ClareHome App, including a new Notifications Management screen that automatically populates preset notifications depending on the devices available on a given project, allowing users to toggle specific preset notifications.

Also added is a new “Low Battery” alert for door locks when the battery threshold drops below 20%; and a new control tile allowing users to manually control their Z-Wave water valve from the ClareHome App and ClareOne Panel. The water valve update provides users leaving their homes for an extended period with extra peace of mind.

New drivers and integrations include added support for Schlage Wi-Fi Door Locks, Alarm.com Z-Wave Water Shutoff Valve, and Zooz Keypad Scene Controllers. Integrators can now assign scenes to Zooz keypad buttons to streamline activation from other locations in their home.
