Spanish Fire Detection Company to Become Part of GE Interlogix

Plainville, Conn.-based GE Industrial Systems, a division of GE Co., has signed an agreement to acquire Kilsen, a privately held fire detection and control systems company headquartered in Barcelona, Spain, and make it part of GE Interlogix. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Kilsen was founded in 1978 and offers a range of electronic fire detection and control systems, covering all market needs for fire and carbon monoxide detection in commercial and industrial buildings.

GE said the transaction is subject to government approval and other customary conditions, and is expected to close in the third quarter of this year.
