AMITYVILLE, N.Y.—Speco Technologies recently launched its Speco Video Doorbell (O2DB1), a Wi-Fi-enabled smart device featuring a wide-angle lens, two-way audio, built-in card reader, as well as infrared (IR) and LED lights for superior low-light performance.

As part of the company’s suite of IP camera technologies, the Speco Video Doorbell supports its advanced analytics, enabling commercial businesses and homeowners to leverage the latest AI-enabled algorithms to perform everything from object detection, audio analytics and facial recognition to alarm verification, in real time. Designed to integrate into video surveillance, access control and audio surveillance systems, the Speco Video Doorbell expands the capabilities of existing security infrastructure with tampering and door contact alarms, door unlock functions, two-way communication and credential verification.

The N.Y.-based manufacturer points out its latest product offers dealers a host of features that include:

  • HD Video Quality: Featuring a 2.8mm wide-angle lens and night vision capabilities, the Video Doorbell delivers HD video streaming day and night, allowing users to see and communicate with visitors from anywhere
  • Remote Interaction: Whether someone is home or away, the Speco Video Doorbell allows users to communicate with their guests in real time using the Speco Blue App, which features built-in noise suppression and echo cancellation technology for clear conversations
  • Advanced Video Analytics: The doorbell uses Speco’s advanced analytics to perform object detection, facial recognition and alarm verification, enhancing your security measures
  • Reliable Connectivity: Speco explains that dealers can activate the Video Doorbell with 2.4Hz Wi-Fi or PoE connectivity to provide flexible installation with the included mounting plate and wireless chime
  • Flexible Cloud Storage Options: Securely store and access video footage with flexible cloud storage options to help ensure that users can retrieve recordings whenever needed

As the Video Doorbell is also configurable with video management systems (VMS), such as Speco Blue VMS, dealers can scale up to a full-fledged surveillance system, transforming doorway security solutions into a comprehensive physical security system that can evolve as their clients’ needs change. The Video Doorbell also interfaces with mobile platforms, such as SecureGuard Client and Speco Blue, so users can record footage to existing NVR systems, access alerts remotely and sync data directly to the cloud without subscription fees.

Through Speco’s partnership with Immix, the Video Doorbell enables remote access to live video playback, as well as pre- and post-alarm recording through Immix’s Central Station Monitoring services and Guard Force dashboard, offering usesrs a single view of the most critical events and automating workflows for both access control and remote video verification (RVV) platforms. Using AVS-01 alarm verification standards, slash false alarm rates while compiling detailed records of who did what and when, offering long-term incident reporting and detailed system insights.
