Traka Integrates With Paxton Net2 Software

Users can benefit from a single credential operation for both door access and the keys and/or equipment managed by Traka, which can be controlled by time and day on an automatic basis, with instant audit control reporting as and when required.

STOCKHOLM — Traka, an ASSA ABLOY brand, has announced that it now integrates with Paxton’s Net2 software to provide users the ability to operate from a single access control platform to maintain important equipment management capabilities.

Traka explains the seamless integration with Net2 ensures complete data integrity with its solution to allow users to benefit from improved security and drive improvement. This includes sending personnel, credential and access level updates to the Traka system in real-time.

Both companies point out that users can also benefit from a single credential operation for both door access and the keys and/or equipment managed by Traka, which can be controlled by time and day on an automatic basis, with instant audit control reporting as and when required.

“Net2 is a powerful access control system that is fully scalable and supported by continuous development to provide the best possible user experience,” states Steve Rowlands, divisional director of product management, Paxton. “Traka is an industry leader in key and equipment management solutions, so they’re a natural integration partner for us. This opportunity enhances complete site control, with centralized site visibility and real-time monitoring ensuring situational awareness of all keys and assets on both local and remote sites.”

Traka Integration with Net2 Strengthens Access Control Systems

According to the companies, with the integration operating with TrakaWEB advanced software, it has been designed to support intelligent key and equipment central management control with significant benefits and additional functionality, all designed to significantly reduce administration overheads.

Further benefits include the ability to expose Traka events and alarms, making them visible within the Net2 software, and an ability to administer the Traka system from the familiar access control environment. This includes varying staff access to selected items and providing curfew functionality to ensure keys are checked out and returned in specific, defined time allocations.

“Net2 makes access management of any building simple. When integrated with Traka, Paxton’s networked access control system provides a complete solution for any access control management requirements. It’s a truly exciting integration opportunity that combines the powers of two future-proof technologies to create a security solution that really can simplify administration,” adds Dave Thomas, technical manager, Traka U.K.

“The more integrations Traka can build with like-minded industry leaders, the more we can deliver simple, intelligent ways of enhancing the site and asset management. Combined with our established installation, R&D and technical support services, it demonstrates our capability to be ‘local when you need us, global when it counts.’”
