Convergint Technologies Acquires H&E Comfort Controls to Tap Into K-12, Other Vertical Markets
The acquisition also broadens Convergint’s reach in Eastern Canada.
The acquisition helps Convergint reach new markets such as municipal government and utilities.
SCHAUMBURG, Ill. — Convergint Technologies acquired H&E Comfort Controls on Tuesday, a company that provides solutions addressing facility challenges of workplace security, comfort and energy conservation.
According to a press release on the announcement, H&E will strengthen Convergint’s presence in Canada with a location in Windsor, Ontario and a customer-installed base throughout the province. The acquisition expands Convergint’s access to vertical markets such as K-12 and higher education, municipal government and utilities.
“H&E extends our capabilities, solutions and services within building automation throughout Eastern Canada, reinforcing our strategy of being our customers’ best service provider,” said Ken Lochiatto, president & CEO of Convergint Technologies. “Additionally, they bring an experienced staff with a broad range of skills, including the mechanical and electrical expertise to support our clients’ technical needs.”
H&E was founded in 1989 and in addition to building automation solutions, it also offers access control, video surveillance, system integration, power metering and energy efficiency.
