Top 7 Surveillance Videos of the Week: Creepy Home Intruder Watches Couple Sleep

Other videos include a firefighter taking down a crook from behind at a gas station and a woman returning a man’s dogs after she mistakenly took them from his yard.

A couple in Chicago is feeling violated after their home security cameras captured footage of a man who broke into their apartment and watched them sleep.

Jordan Buranskas didn’t realize something had happened until she told her boyfriend, Jack Mackercher, that she couldn’t find her purse. The two got in a small argument over where the purse could be before they finally checked the footage from the home’s video surveillance cameras. The footage shocked them.

The security camera showed a strange man at the top of their stairs at 3:30 a.m. The man stayed at the top of the stairs for an uncomfortable amount of time as he looked down and watched the couple sleeping downstairs on the couch.

“He stood there for about five minutes the first time, then walked away,” Buranskas told ABC 7 Chicago, “then came back and hovered over us again for another five minutes.”

The creepy video leads off this week’s installment of the Surveillance Videos of the Week. Other videos show a firefighter take down a would-be robber at a gas station and an unfortunate misunderstanding involving a woman taking a man’s dogs from his yard.
