Honeywell Releases Home App for Smart Devices, Launches Membership Plans
Honeywell built the new Home app from the ground up to replace the Lyric app. It also added paid membership plans for its WiFi security cameras.
ATLANTA — Honeywell has released Honeywell Home, a new app to control its growing list of smart devices. Honeywell Home replaces the company’s Lyric app.
Honeywell says it designed the app based on feedback from consumers to provide more usability upgrades and a better user experience.
The Home app features a dashboard that allows for the control of Honeywell’s connected devices such as cameras, thermostats, its upcoming smart security system and more, all in one place.
Inside the app, you will also see that Honeywell has launched membership plans for Cloud storage. The plans apply to the upcoming smart security system and the C1 and C2 WiFi security cameras.
The membership tiers are as follows:
Users with a Free Membership receive:
- 1 day of rolling cloud video storage
- Ability to view up to 50 video clips
Users with a Standard Membership ($4.99/month) receive:
- Works with 1 camera
- 30 days of cloud video storage for 1 camera
- Ability to view up to 1,500 video clips
- 5% off Honeywell Home and Honeywell Lyric products at www.shophome.honeywell.com
- Opportunity to participate in new product and product feature trials
Users with a Premium Membership ($14.99/month) receive:
- Works with an unlimited number of cameras
- 60 days of cloud video storage
- Ability to view up to 3,000 video clips
- 15% off Honeywell Home and Honeywell Lyric products at www.shophome.honeywell.com
- Opportunity to participate in new product and product feature trials
Users who already have the Lyric app will be prompted to update to Honeywell Home the next time they open the app.
