DSC Unveils Reduced Pricing Program for Smart Home Builders, Developers & Installers
New program offers reduced pricing, by as much as 50%, on DSC/Tyco products to homebuilders and developers looking to demo home security and automation systems to clients.
CONCORD, Ontario, Canada – Digital Security Controls (DSC), a division of Tyco Security Products, has launched a new reduced pricing program for professionals who want to demo and showcase smart home technology, including automation and security systems, within the home.
This two-tiered program launches at a time of growing consumer interest in smart home technology. Features of the program include home security and automation packages including lighting, temperature control and appliance control with the help of Z-Wave smart sockets and DSC’s PowerSeries Neo scalable hybrid wireless platform.
“The introduction of these programs provides builders and their security installation partners with convenient access to the latest smart home solutions, which is what savvy home buyers are asking for today,” says Tim Myers, product line director of intrusion, Tyco Security Products.
A recent market pulse survey from TecHome Builder estimates that 70% of the builders surveyed in 2015 installed alarm systems in their homes and 77% intend to install them by 2017.
The survey also shows that 43% of homebuilders currently install home automation systems and 58% intend to install them by 2017.
DSC’s program is made up of two tiers:
The Model Home Program provides homebuilders with a 50% reduction on the products purchased to showcase as part of a model home and to demonstrate the type of security systems and associated interactive features available to homeowners. The kit, based on the PowerSeries Neo hybrid technology platform, features a keypad, four door/window contacts and a motion sensor. Learn more here.
The Community Program is designed to provide the security installer and builder with reduced pricing based upon the size of the new home construction project and the number of systems that will be installed. Learn more here.
Both programs feature DSC’s PowerSeries Neo, a hybrid intrusion platform that offers a wide range of PowerG based devices. It is designed to deliver secure, reliable communications channels, innovative alarm verification solutions and a robust remote service software suite.
