New IQ PowerG Kit

Johnson Controls announced today that it has released a new kit combining the award winning IQ Panel and it’s industry changing PowerG sensors. The IQ Panel 2 Plus includes a PowerG radio that works with Johnson Controls’ PowerG long range wireless sensors and this kit will include the 7” ALL-In-One HD Touchscreen IQ Panel with PowerG and 319.5MHz, perfect for upgrading 3G to LTE accounts, plus 2 PowerG door window sensors and a PowerG motion sensor.
“This new kit is in direct response to our customer’s feedback.” Says Jeremy McLerran, Global Director of Marketing for Johnson Controls. “Ever since we released the IQ Panel 2 Plus back in 2018 dealers have been asking us to put together a kit that combines the IQ Panel and PowerG sensors in a single box. Until Qolsys was officially acquired by Johnson Controls back in October this wasn’t really possible. Now we can deliver the best user experience and the best range, perfect for new installs or upgrading 3G accounts.”
The IQ PowerG Kit includes the version of the IQ Panel 2 Plus with Dual SRF featuring PowerG and 319.5 MHz. This allows an installer to easily replace an existing Interlogix wireless system with the IQ Panel, and then add PowerG sensors to reach even the furthest locations, now included in the box.
“The install is very fast and the user experience is amazing. An experienced technician could take as little as 16 minutes to complete the upgrade.” Says McLerran. “Dealers everywhere are hungry for an upgrade solution that will easily allow them to add incremental revenue by adding Z-Wave devices such as lights, locks, and thermostats, as well as video devices such as indoor and outdoor cameras and video doorbells. This kit will make it even easier to avoid the typical LTE Band-Aid solutions that don’t increase customer usage or attach rates.”
