Nice/Nortek Control C3-IP Power Conditioner Reduces Service Calls

The Panamax C3-IP power conditioner and power sequencer from Nice/Nortek provides control options via LAN and third-party control systems.

CARLSBAD, Calif. — Nice/Nortek Control has announced its new Panamax C3-IP compact power conditioner and power sequencer.

The new 12-amp, BlueBOLT-enabled power management product provides three separate outlets with control, and through its remote power management capabilities via the company’s BlueBOLT platform, integrators can monitor, control and program the unit from anywhere.

“The Panamax C3-IP power conditioner is more than surge protection. Integrators can install with confidence knowing they’re using best in power and energy management,” says Jeff Shaw, vice president, product management of control, power/AV at Nice/Nortek Control. “The product was designed to allow the installer to be proactive and resolve most issues before the client even knows, and ultimately reduce service calls. It’s an easy way for installers to show their clients the value they bring and add ‘soft’ customer touches.”

Panamax C3-IP Power Conditioner and Power Sequencer Complements Discrete Installations

One of the most appealing features of the newly launched power conditioner, Panamax explains, is the C3-IP is 50% smaller in size than the model it replaces to allow dealers to utilize the product in a range of installations.

Some of the applications the company says that integrators can use the power product include behind flat-panel TVs, as well as inside structured wiring enclosures or it can be mounted to the back of an equipment rack. The C3-IP features Panamax’s Automatic over/under voltage technologies to help minimize services calls, while preserving the life expectancy of the products it is protecting.

Panamax points out that dealers can also integrate the power product into its ELAN Control Systems smart home control and automation platform. The Panamax C3-IP provides customized control through its integration with ELAN Control Systems with seamless control from a smartphone or an ELAN touch panel.

Reiterating the versatility of the C3-IP’s inclusion of BlueBOLT remote management technologies, Panamax states the addition of sequencing, along with its IP monitor and control capabilities allows users to reboot their network devices, control and secure the system once the installer has configured the unit. Dealers can schedule power cycling for the three individually controlled outlets, and these array of capabilities support automatic network equipment reboots when connectivity is lost.

Additionally, these options provide the ability to monitor energy use, alerts and programmed scheduled commands.

“We are committed to offering dealers and installers exceptional control and convenience. The integration of Panamax C3-IP with the ELAN control system simplifies maintenance, updates, and programming for our partners while greatly increasing the user experience for the homeowner,” comments Richard Pugnier, vice president of marketing & education at Nice/Nortek Control. “The expanded Nice/Nortek Control portfolio ensures they have more choices for every project and that there are no gaps across platforms and devices for any application.”
