ESA Launches Empowering Women in Technology Scholarship at ESX 2024

Six women who have a drive for installing and servicing electronic security tech will be awarded free training and certification programming.

DALLAS – The Electronic Security Association (ESA) today launched the Empowering Women in Technology scholarship program.

As part of the initiative, six women “who have shown a curiosity and drive for installing and servicing electronic security technology will be awarded complimentary training and certification programming,” according to the association announcement.

“We recognize the incredible potential women bring to the industry,” says ESA chief operating officer Jillian Bateman-McIntosh in the announcement.  “This isn’t just a financial support to women looking to advance their careers, this is an investment in the future of innovation in our industry.

“Their unique perspectives can shape tomorrow’s breakthroughs,” she says.

The ESA National Training School Certified Alarm Technician Certifications “are the industry standard for training and preparing today’s fleet of technicians and managers,” according to the ESA announcement.

They “align with industry best practices and lend credibility to the certification holder,” the announcement says. Candidates “undergo a rigorous training and examination process, and achievement demonstrates that an individual has acquired the knowledge and skills required for success in the field.”
