ATLANTA — Ackerman Security Systems has appointed Jim Callahan as president of the company.

Additionally, the company says Callahan’s headship helped Ackerman rank as the fifth largest home security company in the metro Washington D.C. area, two years after entering the market in 2010.

Bruce Turry previously held the title of president and CEO of Ackerman. He retains the title of CEO as part of the company’s succession planning.
