Ackerman Security Promotes Callahan to President

ATLANTA — Ackerman Security Systems has appointed Jim Callahan as president of the company.

A 32-year security industry veteran, Callahan joined Ackerman14 years ago as vice president of sales and has served as the company’s COO since 2009. Under Callahan’s leadership, the company says it has doubled its size within the last five years, and currently brings in $2 million in recurring monthly revenue (RMR).

Additionally, the company says Callahan’s headship helped Ackerman rank as the fifth largest home security company in the metro Washington D.C. area, two years after entering the market in 2010.

Bruce Turry previously held the title of president and CEO of Ackerman. He retains the title of CEO as part of the company’s succession planning.
