AMG Systems Launches U.S. Operations With Trumbull, Conn., Office and Warehouse

Biggleswade, U.K.AMG Systems has opened a new office, manufacturing and warehouse facility in Trumbull, Conn., to “satisfy the growing demand for AMG transmission products with their recent entry into the U.S. market,” according to the company announcement.

AMG Systems offers fiberoptic, copper and wireless Ethernet, video, and data transmission equipment that is designed to meet the needs of the security, intelligent transportation systems, utility and industrial markets.

The new office, located at 62 Spring Hill Road, will be “the base for North American operations,” the announcement says, and joins Castleford and Biggleswade in the U.K. as AMG facilities.

This facility will be used for the North American research and product development team, warehouse, shipping operations, professional services and the Americas AMG tech support and customer care teams. In addition, meeting rooms and training facilities for customers and prospects will be available in these Trumbull offices.

“We knew from our market research that there was a gap in transmission product availability in the U.S.,” says AMG Managing Director Steve Clarke in the company announcement.

“Due to that overwhelming demand for AMG transmission products, the need to warehouse and ship from a North American location became paramount, and the benefit to AMG North American customers of having AMG products in a stateside location and tech support available at normal business hours is immeasurable,” he says.

More About AMG’s U.S. Headquarters

AMG’s plan is to do most of its manufacturing in its ISO 9001-certified U.K. facilities and “establish sustainable stock levels in the Trumbull facility to meet the demand we’re creating,” says Clarke.

“Our plans include manufacturing in the Trumbull facility and this building has given us the option of more space when that time comes,” he says in the announcement.

AMG plans to have its Trumbull, Conn., facility fully operational by Sept. 1.

“We’re in the process of altering the building to meet our needs and get our inventory control programs in place to efficiently take inventory in and quickly move products out to meet the time requirements of our North American customers,” says AMG Operations Director Stephen Kummik.

“We’ll continue the ISO 9001 business protocols established in our UK facilities to ensure we continue the quality standards AMG is known for,” he says.
