Amherst Alarm Merges With Eastern States Sentinel, Acquires 8,000+ Accounts

The acquisition of Eastern States Sentinel Alarm Service will increase Amherst Alarm’s workforce by 12 employees and broaden their service area.

AMHERST, N.Y. — Amherst Alarm and Eastern States Sentinel Alarm Services of West Seneca, N.Y., announce the merger of the two company’s operations, effective immediately.

Under the Amherst Alarm umbrella, the companies will combine forces to bring the high-quality residential and commercial security systems to local customers, according to an announcement.

The acquisition will increase Amherst Alarm’s workforce by 12 employees and broaden their service area. The company will operate out of Amherst Alarm’s new headquarters, located at 2361 Wehrle Drive located here. The acquisition brings a combination of over 8,000 retail and wholesale accounts to Amherst Alarm.

Amherst Alarm currently has over 70 people on staff. It offers both residential and commercial security systems, monitoring, commercial security services including fire alarm systems, CCTV systems and ANET secure monitoring. Other services include environmental monitoring systems, audio and video home automation systems, home theater, central vacuum systems and medical alert and response systems.

Amherst Alarm won the 11th annual Police Dispatch Quality (PDQ) Award for its ongoing efforts to reduce false alarm dispatches in 2016. More recently, Creenan was inducted into the SSI Industry Hall of Fame at ISC West 201.
