Paul R. Owen, vice president and general manager of Tennessee and Kentucky operations at ADS Security in Nashville, has been elected president-elect of the Tennessee Burglar and Fire Alarm Association (TBFAA). Owen has been associated with ADS Security since 1996.
Ed Freeman has been selected as executive vice president of Ademco Group, part of Honeywell’s Home and Building Control business. Freeman joined the company as senior vice president of engineering in 1997. Ademco Group also announces the promotion of Mike Scirica to director of product management for Ademco Video. He brings more than 12 years of experience in the CCTV marketplace.
Timothy Russell has joined the Detection Systems sales team as district sales manager for the mid-Atlantic region. His territory will include Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Washington, D.C., and Virginia. Detection Systems also introduces Leonard Thavenius as district sales manager for New York, upstate New York and New Jersey. He brings 23 years of security sales experience to the team.
Recognition Source of Chicago welcomes Scott Zielski as vice president of sales and marketing. In his new position, Zielski will lead the company’s efforts to establish strategic OEM partnerships, develop distribution channels and build market identity.
Thomas Wade has been elected as president and CEO of Samsung.CCTV. Wade is a 16-year industry veteran with extensive technical, sales and sales management experience.
Kent Security Services Inc., a privately owned security company based in Miami, has appointed Mark Searcy as vice president of sales and marketing. Searcy brings 16 years of managerial and sales experience to the company. Wm. Troy Pack as been selected as senior vice president of sales and marketing for Adyoron Intelligent Systems of Dallas. Pack recently served as vice president of sales for Ultrak Ltd.
Frank Conforti has joined Rokonet U.S.A. of Elmsford, N.Y., as eastern sales manager. Conforti brings more than 13 years of industry experience to the company. He will be responsible for all sales management activities, including sales programs, and dealer/ distributor outreach and education within the eastern region.
