Pelco Adding Office in Colorado
Video security manufacturer Pelco is looking to northern Colorado as the home of its fourth United States office. Pelco has announced plans to open an office in Fort Collins, Colo., which lies 60 miles north of Denver and is the home of Colorado State University.
Fort Collins would be the fourth U.S. site for Pelco, alongside its world headquarters in Clovis, Calif., and offices in Las Vegas and Orangeburg, N.Y.

Bosch Security Warms Up to New Home in Canada
Bosch Security Systems opened the doors of its new headquarters in the Robert Bosch Canada building on Jan. 3.
The 181,000-square-foot facility in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, will contain the company’s marketing, sales and distribution departments and will consolidate a number of Canadian Bosch businesses.
The new office is located a short distance from the Toronto Int’l Airport.

Microsoft Signs On to More Smart Cards From Indala
Access control manufacturer Indala recently announced it would provide Microsoft Corp. with 22,000 multiple-technology smart cards.
This is the second of a four-phase plan to replace older 32K chip cards used by Microsoft employees and their contractors worldwide. Indala also manufactured the previous smart cards.
Microsoft employees use smart cards manufactured by Indala to gain access to the firm’s computer network. Smart cards are also used to digitally sign E-mail and to gain physical access to Microsoft facilities worldwide.

Mace Continues Electronic Security Expansion
Mace Security Int’l Inc., manufacturer of electronic surveillance and personal surveillance products, has expanded its portfolio after acquiring Miami, Fla.-based CCTV manufacturer Securetek. The purchase price was not disclosed.
Securetek manufactures DVRs, CCTV cameras, digital monitors and security systems.
