ISC West Keynote Series to Focus on Homeland and Stadium Security

The featured presenters include members of the security and public safety industry who are well known for their widely-respected accomplishments.

LAS VEGAS — The organizers of ISC West have released the full line-up of keynote speakers scheduled to appear during the conference, held here at the Sands Expo Convention Center, April 9-12.

This year’s expert keynote presentations include three leading members of the security industry, who have real-world experience and are widely-respected for their achievements, according to an announcement.

Following is a brief description of each presenter and their topic of discussion.

isc westWilliam N. Bryan
Senior Official Performing the Duties of the Under Secretary for Science and Technology (DHS)
April 10 | 8:30-9:30 a.m. | Venetian Ballroom 1, Level 2

The DHS Security Science and Technology Directorate (S&T) is investing in technologies to enhance security and resiliency for life-line operations, including transportation, communications and public safety, but it can’t do this alone. In this session, Bryan will discuss the advances in mobility, machine learning and autonomous technologies that provide new capabilities to build resilience capacity and reduce risks.

Vice President of Security, San Francisco 49ers and Levi’s Stadium
April 11 | 8:30-9:30 a.m. | Venetian Ballroom 1, Level 2

Take a journey down memory lane as we explore the history and evolution of the ever-changing stadium security landscape. Butler will give an eye-opening keynote presentation reviewing some of the recent security threats, challenges and encounters his team has faced, while providing insights and perspectives on where stadium security is heading.

Kayyem, this year’s Women In Security Forum Breakfast special guest, is the current Robert and Renee Belfer Lecturer in International Security and Faculty Director of the Homeland Security Project at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government. The former assistant secretary for international affairs to President Barack Obama will discuss our government’s security — both domestically and globally.
