Mission 500 5th Annual Softball Game Fundraiser to Be Held Sept. 15
The game, held at Overpeck County Park in Ridgefield Park, N.J., will raise funds as part of Mission 500’s efforts to serve children in need.
MIAMI — Mission 500 will host its 5th annual security industry softball game fundraiser on Sept. 15 at Overpeck County Park in Ridgefield Park, N.J.
Sponsorships are available between $500 and $5,000. Companies contributing more than $1,500 will have the option to designate one or two players to a team. The organization has set a fundraising goal of $50,000 for the event.
Friends and family of the industry are welcome to join in free of charge. Organizers ask that all sponsored players pre-register by clicking here. Cold drinks and foodstuff will be complimentary for all guests and players.
During the game, held from noon to 3 p.m., Mission 500 will be hosting a Care Pack event. Every $16 donated provides a Mission 500 Care Pack filled with essential hygiene items for a child living in poverty. The organization’s goal is to fill 300 packs.
In 2018, individuals from sponsoring 20 companies, along with family and friends, participated and helped raise more than $48,000. Additionally, $2,500 of the proceeds raised were donated to the New York Firefighters Burn Center Foundation Children’s Camp, a not-for-profit dedicated to the advancement of burn care, research, prevention, education and the proper treatment of burns. The organization also sends burn victims under the age of 18 to have fun at summer camp.
This year’s event sponsors include Altronix, Anixter, CMS, LRG, Napco, ISC, Scansource and Security Sales & Integration.
