Northeast Security & Systems Contractors Expo Postponed Until September

The 41st annual exposition, postponed because of the coronavirus crisis, has been rescheduled for Sept. 22 at the DCU Center in Worcester, Mass.

AUBURN, Mass. — The producers of the Northeast Security & Systems Contractors Expo have postponed the 2020 installment due to health and safety concerns caused by the coronavirus crisis.

Originally scheduled for May 13, the 41st annual expo will now take place Sept. 22 at the DCU Center in Worcester, Mass. The New England Alarm & Controls Council (NEACC) Annual Fall Classic Golf Outing be held the following day, Sept. 23.

Exhibitors and attendees that have already registered for the event will have their registration automatically updated. The Northeast Security & Systems Contractors Expo is said to be the longest continuously running state sponsored security trade show. The event is produced by NEACC and Pat Hoey Productions, which stated in a press release:

Containment of the COVID-19 Coronavirus is a public health priority. Many individuals infected in the U.S. have contracted the virus through exposure at conferences and business meetings. Additionally, many organizations have established domestic and international travel bans, states have called for “Stay at Home” advisories, and the general advice to stop the spread of this virus is to practice social distancing. By postponing until September, we hope that these efforts will stop the spread of COVID-19 and our exhibitors and attendees can fully benefit from the networking opportunities that the NEACC events have to offer.

The focus of the NEACC is to promote the education of the members of the six New England state associations, and to promote industry related education in the areas of IoT, home and commercial audio, integration, networking and home automation to the region’s security dealers, installers, manufacturers, distributors and equipment suppliers.

Officers of the partnership rotate annually and are selected from representatives from the five New England state associations: Connecticut Alarm & Systems Integrators Association (CASIA), Maine Burglar and Fire Alarm Association (MBFAA), Massachusetts Systems Contractors Association (MSCA), Rhode Island Alarm and Systems Contractors Association (RIASCA), and Vermont Electronic Association (VESA).
