Insights From the 2018 Verint Global Customer Conference

Business Fitness Columnist Paul Boucherle attended Verint’s Engage18 Conference and shares what he learned about sharing and engaging with customers.

I was invited to speak for the first time at Verint’s Engage 18 conference which is taking place in Dallas May 14-17. It is an eye-opening experience learning the depth and breadth of Verint’s ecosystem, which includes 1500 supplier and channel partners with innovative software solutions.

In attendance are the stars of the show … the end users that use Verint solutions and they addressed the conference with great real-world applications that help drive their customer engagements.

For an unabashed technology nerd, I was transported to a Disneyland-like software sandbox in Dallas. As a business and technology consultant, who primarily covers the security industry, my horizons have been dramatically expanded with new possibilities of helping traditional security integrators recognize MSP growth opportunities.

Technology looking for a problem to solve is a problem, but technology that actually serves customers well, saves them time and intelligently interacts with them effectively utilizing AI is a true solution.

It’s all about the conversational context and tone of voice using AI software to intelligently speed up my information request and reduce the possibility of my increased blood pressure. Love how that impacts my attitude and the rest of my day as well!

Great solutions envision real-life situations in real-time, and reduce the blood pressure levels of their customers. The message from the conference is simply elegant:

SIMPLIFY
MODERNIZE
AUTOMATE

These are very important, can be very complex and are vital to credibly engaging customers. Translated to: “Be easy to do business with … please!” Migrating or evolving legacy technology is becoming easier, faster and much less riskier considering the velocity of today’s technology.

I will be sharing insights on lessons learned of engaging and presenting to customers’ senior executives with the Matterhorn Presentation Proposal Process. I am learning new insights about workplace engagement processes and solutions with great solution partners. Very impressed indeed!

P.S. Their event app also engages some cool technology. Their badges allow you to connect and exchange contact info by wirelessly “mating” your badges. Geek nirvana.
