Johnson Controls Building Efficiency Unit Hires 1st Chief Commercial Officer
MILWAUKEE — Johnson Controls has appointed John Cipolla as vice president and chief commercial officer to lead commercial strategy and development for the firm’s Building Efficiency business.
As leader of Building Efficiency’s Global Offerings organization, Cipolla will work to bring solutions to market that build the company’s brand and promote growth through strategic marketing, product management and development, and engineering.
Prior to joining Johnson Controls, Cipolla was CEO of iNova Networks, which delivers customized network solutions and architecture for market trading applications. Previously, he spent more than 30 years at Motorola, where he was senior vice president of global product development and guided pioneering work in the cell phone industry. Before Google acquired it in 2012, he served as president, Motorola Mobility China R&D Institute.
