Make a Note of It: SSI Has a New Address
TORRANCE, Calif. – Security Sales & Integration has a new home.
SSIand its parent company Bobit Publishing will remain in Torrance, Calif., but at a new address a little less than four miles from its former location. The nearly 50,000-square-foot freestanding facility marks the fifth hub of operations for SSI since its inception more than 25 years ago.
SSI‘s editors and staff can be reached at 3520 Challenger Street, Torrance, CA, 90503. While mail going to the former address on Western Avenue will be forwarded, be sure to update your mailing lists to ensure your mail reaches us.
The move is one of several changes for SSI‘s parent company Bobit Publishing, including its name. Bobit will now be known as Bobit Business Media to reflect the growing dimensions of the company beyond print publishing.
Besides SSI, Bobit, founded in 1961, publishes 19 other business-to-business magazines and is involved in the production of eight trade shows and conferences, 22 Web sites, E-newsletters, custom research and training materials.
In a logical extension of the magazine, SSI played a role in the new building’s elaborate security system. SSI Publisher Mike Zawinski designed the state-of-the-art system that includes access control, burglary and fire alarms, and CCTV.
