ADS Security Acquires Duncan Security Systems in Nashville
The deal marks the first announced acquisition for ADS since it was acquired by and became a division of Vector Security in June.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. — ADS Security, a division of Vector Security, has acquired the customer accounts of Duncan Security Systems in Nashville, Tenn., for undisclosed terms.
Duncan Security Systems, which bills itself as the oldest family-owned security company in Nashville, was established by Joe Duncan, Jr., who serves as president of the company.
ADS will service and monitor the new customer accounts out of its local branch and monitoring center in Nashville.
“We have admired Joe Duncan and his company Duncan Security Systems for a long time. They have been well-respected in the Nashville area for over 30 years and we are very fortunate to have members of his team join ADS Security,” states ADS President John Cerasuolo. “Together, we will be able to provide security and exceptional customer service to more homes and businesses in Nashville.”
Duncan Security Systems’ customers will have access to the ADS advanced suite of residential and commercial services, including an industry-leading mobile app, smart home technologies, video surveillance and access control solutions.
ADS was established in 1990 and currently serves more than 100,000 businesses, industrial facilities, and residences throughout the southeastern United States. The company operates a UL-listed monitoring center and provides a full range of intrusion fire alarm systems, as well as video surveillance, access control and automation systems.
Vector Security closed a deal on June 3 to acquire ADS. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Collectively both companies are said to have close to $20 million in recurring monthly revenue (RMR) and a customer base of nearly 400,000 subscribers.
ADS Security employees were to remain in their current roles with Cerasuolo leading the ADS division, reporting directly to Vector Security President and CEO Pam Petrow, according to an announcement. ADS Security will maintain its brand identity, becoming the fourth business unit under the Vector Security portfolio of companies.
