ADS Acquires ERMC Security Solutions to Expand in Southeast

With the acquisition, Chattanooga becomes the third largest ADS branch.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — ADS Security, a regional electronic security and automation company based here, has acquired ERMC Security Solutions in Chattanooga, Tenn. The purchase makes the Chattanooga branch the third largest out of ADS Security’s 22 branches.

ADS will pick up approximately 600 accounts, which comprise a 60% residential/40% commercial mix of clients. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

“We are so excited to have the opportunity to continue the tradition of outstanding service that ERMC Security Solutions has built,” says John Cerasuolo, ADS president and CEO. “Our formula for success is outstanding employees plus a loyal customer base, and that is exactly what we are getting from ERMC Security Solutions.

The transaction marks the second acquisition for ADS in 2017. Falcon Fire Systems in Charleston, S.C., was acquired in January. This follows a record-setting acquisition year for ADS in 2016, during which the company added 8,000 accounts across six purchases. The company also opened two new locations in Dothan, Ala., and Sanford, N.C.

In the past three years, the company has acquired and converted 16 companies into branch locations to extend its footprint across its home state, Florida, Georgia, the Carolinas, Kentucky, Mississippi and Alabama.

ERMC Security Solutions customers will have access to the ADS advanced suite of residential and commercial services. The company offers a leading mobile app and online web portal, smart home technologies, video surveillance and access control solutions. Additionally, the company operates a Five Diamond-certified monitoring center located in Nashville.

The ERMC customers will be serviced out of the ADS Chattanooga office. An undisclosed number of staff members from the ERMC team will retain positions with ADS.

ADS was established in 1990 and currently serves thousands of businesses, industrial facilities and residences throughout the southeastern United States. The company surpassed the $3 million recurring monthly revenue (RMR) mark in May 2016.
