ADT Expands Commercial Capabilities With Security Corp. Buy
The Detroit-based acquired company provides integrated systems and services to businesses, institutions and high-end homes throughout the Midwest region.
BOCA RATON, Fla. — ADT (NYSE: ADT) has expanded the capabilities and geographic reach of its Red Hawk Fire & Security, ADT Commercial division with the acquisition of Security Corporation, a security integrator based in Detroit.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
For more than 40 years, Security Corp. has provided integrated security systems and services to businesses, institutions and high-end homes throughout the Midwest region. The family owned business was founded by Robert Holloway in 1974, and children Robert II, Jana and Randy have operated it with since 1998.
“This strategic acquisition is the latest in a series of efforts to continue driving our commercial business to the next level giving us an opportunity to reach our customers with unmatched service in every fire, life safety and security discipline across the United States,” says ADT Commercial Executive Vice President Dan Bresingham.
Along with its headquarters, Security Corp. staffs a second location in Columbus, Ohio, and operates its own UL-listed central station.

Security Corp. technicians are NICET-certified. The company maintains authorized dealer relationships with Honeywell, Bosch, Lenel, exacqVision, RS2 Technolgies, Hamilton Safe and GE, according to its website.
