Alarms Inc. Acquires Fellow Denver Security Provider Verified Alarms
The acquisition coincides with the retirement of Alan Hartley, who has owned and operated Verified Alarms for four decades.
DENVER — Alarms Inc., based here, recently acquired Verified Alarms, also of Denver, for undisclosed terms.
The acquisition coincides with the retirement of Alan Hartley, who has owned and operated Verified Alarms for four decades.
Hartley hails from a background in the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and the insurance industry. With a deep understanding of customer protection, he focused on custom system design, exceptional service and brought extensive experience to residential and commercial installations, according to an announcement.
Funding company Alarm Financial Services (AFS) financed the acquisition. Finding the right buyer for the Verified Alarms’ accounts was important for Hartley. “AFS knew I wanted to retire and found a match for me and my customers. It was a win-win scenario for both parties,” says Hartley.
Alarms Inc. Owner James Higgins has also specialized in residential and commercial alarm systems for about 40 years. Higgins credits the company’s growth to satisfied customers, architects and builder referrals.
The opportunity to purchase Verified Alarm’s accounts helps Alarm Inc. continue its growth. “We’re looking forward to welcoming the customers of Verified Alarm to Alarms Incorporated and we’re committed to providing them with the same great customer service they’ve received from Alan for all these years,” comments Higgins. “AFS acted as a partner and was extremely helpful as we worked through the process of finalizing this transaction with Verified.”
AFS provides funding programs from $150,000 to $1,500,000 to small and medium-sized security, fire alarm and personal emergency response system (PERS) companies.
“We are pleased to provide the capital to Alarms Inc., helping them continue their growth through this strategic acquisition,” says Jim Wooster, Jr., president of AFS. “We have known Alan Hartley for many years and are glad to see his customers find a good home with Alarms Inc.”
